Welcome back to my little corner of the internet.
Today I wanted to share a little café I had breakfast in last Sunday. It is a cute small café close to Plaza de España in Madrid.
Mür Café is in the district of Malasaña, a vibrant place for students and passionate artists, writers and poets. It is in this area that Almodóvar started out as a director.
This small café is a go to place for a breakfast and a Sunday brunch. Reservations can be made for brunches, whereas for a breakfast, you can just come in, sit down and catch up with your friends or enjoy a great breakfast before you start exploring.
The menu offers a selection of savoury and sweet options, homemade cakes and cookies, teas and coffees, or, for the sugar tooth inside you, hot chocolates.
If you are on a budget and are looking for a healthy breakfast, this is the place for you.
Personally, I went for a homemade pie with a berry jam filling. The dough was incredibly friable and I liked the way the milk was served. Even though, at first, I did not understand that it was actually milk (the glass bottle to the left of the cup of tea in the picture is actually milk).
All in all, a great recommendation for both locals, expats and tourists.
Do you have a favourite place for breaktfast? Do you enjoy having breakfast outside? Let me know in the comments below.
Love,
Raffi
